Capsules are moringa’s pure-supplement format: no flavour-masking required, dose control by capsule count, and the cooperative-sourced provenance becomes the differentiation lever (vs commodity moringa from undifferentiated supply). This page covers the flow, particle, and capsule-size considerations.
Why this ingredient for this application
Encapsulated moringa delivers a clean serving format: 400–500 mg per Size 00 capsule, 2–6 capsules per daily dose, no taste interaction. Customers willing to pay $30+ for a 60-capsule bottle are typically also willing to pay for provenance-marked moringa (origin Tamale, certified organic, shade-dried) over generic commodity moringa.
Spec & inclusion
Standard fill: Size 00 capsule = ~500 mg moringa powder. Size 0 = ~400 mg. Particle size 80–100 mesh ideal for capsule-filling machine flow; the standard mill we ship is in this range. Moisture content <6% for stable capsule fill. Food-grade by spec, USDA NOP certified per lot — specify in your wholesale quote.
Formulation notes
Moringa is hygroscopic; store and process in <50% RH environment to prevent capsule clumping. For pre-blended capsule formulations (moringa + spirulina + chlorella, for example), our moringa’s particle distribution is compatible with most other powdered ingredients of similar mesh range. Compare moringa vs spirulina for blend ratio guidance.
